From Weilheim to the World. Why we rely on Made in Germany!

More than just a label

For us, “Made in Germany” is not a marketing buzzword. It is a mindset. We want to positively influence the lives of the people we interact with. We want to have as much fun together as possible while keeping our environmental impact as small as possible.

Control and responsibility

From the very beginning, it was important to us that all CLEW models are produced in Germany. This way, we keep track of every single step in the manufacturing process and can continuously work on getting even better. Every screw, every assembly, every decision is our responsibility.

Sustainability also means humanity

Our responsibility does not end with ecological sustainability. For us, it is just as much about the people we work with. Since 2020, we have been collaborating with Oberland Werkstätten GmbH. In their workshop for people with disabilities in Miesbach, smaller assemblies for our bindings are produced – carefully crafted, hand-assembled, with a standard of quality that fits CLEW one hundred percent. It matters to us that people with disabilities around Munich have access to attractive, local jobs and receive the best possible support and integration. That is exactly why we are proud to have reintegrated this workshop into our production processes.

Progress as a driving force

Since our founding, progress and innovation have been our motivation. We have introduced new materials, developed new products, and grown step by step. Throughout this journey, one principle remains: we constantly question ourselves, try out new ideas, and work to make snowboarding simpler and better.

Our role

We know we cannot solve the world’s major social and ecological challenges alone. But we can decide which role we want to play. And that is exactly where we focus: taking responsibility, driving innovation, and never losing sight of the fun in snowboarding.
